Hvordan jobber vi Meetings and dialogue
Through meeting places and collaboration, we bring together actors across sectors and interests—from fisheries and aquaculture to energy, tourism, public administration and research. Our role is to facilitate dialogue and cooperation, enabling different interests to meet, gain a better understanding of one another, and jointly develop solutions that deliver both value creation and sustainability.
A key tool in this work is our roundtables. These are small, carefully curated meetings where all participants are encouraged to contribute actively in an open and constructive discussion. Roundtables allow for deeper dialogue than a traditional conference and function as workshops for identifying challenges and testing potential solutions.
We also take part in—and help set the agenda at—major national and international arenas such as Arctic Frontiers, the High North Dialogue, the Oslo Security Conference and Arendalsuka. In addition, we organise our own annual conference, Blue Compass, our flagship event and a key meeting place for debate on the blue economy, coexistence and the future of ocean industries.
Alongside these large-scale arenas, we organise a range of smaller workshops, seminars and debates throughout the year. These make it possible to follow up on emerging issues on an ongoing basis and ensure that dialogue continues between the major conferences.
Strong meeting places make it possible to bring knowledge together, build trust and develop better solutions for the ocean.
