OSLO ENERGY FORUM 2026

Oslo Energy Forum
10. February 2026

Oslo Energy Forum is dedicated to stimulating a constructive dialogue on the world´s most pressing energy questions and solutions. Oslo Energy Forum is a non-profit foundation.

Every February, Oslo Energy Forum invites key actors and decision makers of the global energy industry to a broad dialogue and sharing of deep insights on trends and developments impacting our energy system.

Energy access is increasingly recognised as paramount to social development; a premise for economic growth, social equity, and environmental sustainability. With the global population expected to grow to 9 billion people by 2050, the energy industry has a formidable task in providing sufficient energy services at acceptable cost. At the same time, climate change threatens the socio-economic development impacting lives of millions of people. With its significant size and competence, the energy industry has a critical role to play in the global challenge of balancing energy security and a sustainable development of the world economy.

The IPCC Report is a call for action, and OEF wants to contribute to an acceleration of achieving the 17 SDGs

Meeting these challenges will require concerted effort from actors across the energy space. Oslo Energy Forum believe that dialogue, interaction and deep insight will contribute to better understanding of risks and opportunities, which may support better decisions and cooperation.

OEF is in its 50th year

Oslo Energy Forum has grown with the development of the Norwegian Continental Shelf. It was first time arranged in 1973 during the initial period of the Norwegian oil and gas industry, known as the Sanderstølen Conference.

OEF is in its 50th year and has a long history of gathering the world’s leaders in the energy sector from industry, finance, politics, academia and civil society to drive change.
